Request for enhancement of pension to Pensioners in coal sector
A delegation of AIACE/AICPA led by PK Singh Rathor, Convenor of All India Association of Coal Pensioners (AICPA) and All India Association of Coal Executives (AIACE) along with Dr, B K Shrivastav on Tuesday, met G. Kishan Reddy, Union Minister for Coal, for enhancement of pension under CMPS-1998.
The petition expounded the sufferings of coal pensioners who are surviving on insubstantial pension and requested immediate intervention of the Ministry of Coal & Mines to sort out the issues plaguing coal pensioners of CIL and SCCL and about their pitiable condition who have retired long back.
The minister was informed of the plight of poor pensioners, who are on the verge of starvation with the present pension amount and requested his intervention for accelerated reforms for enhancing their pension. The meeting ended in a positive note.
