Bardwi Shikla Ladies Club Donates Umbrellas To Students Of Chedamari LP School As Part Of CSR Initiative

Principal of Chedamari LP School, extended heartfelt gratitude to the Bardwi Shikla Ladies Club for their timely and practical donation

In a heartfelt gesture aimed at supporting schoolchildren during the monsoon season, the Bardwi Shikla Ladies Club, as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, donated 123 umbrellas to all the students of Chedamari Lower Primary School, located under the Kalipukhuri Village Council Development Committee (VCDC) in Kokrajhar.

The donation drive was led by Kasturi Maitra, President of the Bardwi Shikla Ladies Club, who personally handed over the umbrellas to the children. Speaking at the event, Maitra emphasized the importance of ensuring that students have access to basic necessities that allow them to attend school regularly and comfortably, particularly during the challenging rainy season. She reaffirmed the club’s long-standing commitment to community welfare and child-friendly initiatives.

Soumya Kar, Vice President of the Club, also interacted warmly with the students, underscoring the significance of such interventions in rural schools. She encouraged the young learners to remain committed to their education and assured them of the club’s continued support in the future.

Krishno Kanta Das, Principal of Chedamari LP School, expressed sincere gratitude to the Bardwi Shikla Ladies Club for the generous and timely donation. “The umbrellas will be of immense help to our students, many of whom walk long distances to school in all weather conditions,” he noted.

The event was graced by representatives from the NTPC Bongaigaon HR Department, along with members of the Bardwi Shikla Ladies Club. The distribution ceremony witnessed enthusiastic participation from the students and school staff, reflecting the positive impact of the initiative.
