Mega Blood Donation Camp Successfully Organized On World Blood Donor Day By CCL

A total of 40 units of blood were collected, including donations from 7 women and 33 men

To mark World Blood Donor Day, a Mega Blood Donation Camp was successfully organized today at the Blood Centre of Gandhinagar Hospital, Ranchi, under the aegis of Central Coalfields Limited (CCL).

The camp was inaugurated by Nilendu Kumar Singh, Chairman-cum-Managing Director, CCL. The event also saw the presence of Harsh Nath Mishra, Director (HR), and Chandra Shekhar Tiwari, Director (Technical/Operations).

Organized under the able guidance of Dr. Ratnesh Jain, Chief Medical Superintendent, CCL, the camp saw active participation from employees and volunteers. A total of 40 units of blood were collected, including donations from 7 women and 33 men.

The successful execution of the camp was made possible due to the dedicated efforts of the medical team led by Dr. Anita Kumari (HOD, Pathology), Dr. Khushboo Saran, Dr. Srimoyi Mukherjee, Dr. Mohana Mandal, along with technicians and staff of the Blood Center and Gandhinagar Hospital.

The theme for World Blood Donor Day 2025 was “Give blood, give hope: together we save lives,” emphasizing the profound impact of voluntary blood donation and encouraging community solidarity in saving lives.

CCL continues to champion healthcare initiatives for the welfare of its employees and the larger community. Events like this not only help save lives but also promote awareness, service, and a spirit of unity across society.
