CMD Nilendu Kumar Singh emphasized the vital role played by Safai Mitras in maintaining cleanliness across the organization

Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) concluded its Swachhata Pakhwada (June 16–30, 2025) with a dignified ceremony that recognized the tireless efforts of 208 Safai Mitras across its various workplaces. In a gesture of appreciation, hygiene kits comprising aprons, hand towels, sanitizers, gloves, soaps, and masks were distributed to the sanitation workers.
The event was graced by CCL Chairman-cum-Managing Director Nilendu Kumar Singh, Director (Personnel) Harshnath Mishra, and Director (Technical/Operations) Chandrashekhar Tiwari, who personally handed over the kits to the Safai Mitras.

Addressing the gathering, Nilendu Kumar Singh emphasized the vital role played by Safai Mitras in maintaining cleanliness across the organization. “The real backbone of cleanliness is our Safai Mitras. They work diligently every day to keep our workplaces clean. Swachhata Pakhwada is not just a symbolic initiative—it is a continuous effort to foster awareness and commitment towards cleanliness,” he said.
Directors Mishra and Tiwari also lauded the dedication of the Safai Mitras and encouraged them to carry forward their mission with the same zeal and commitment.
This initiative reflects CCL’s continued commitment not just to the Swachh Bharat Mission, but also to recognizing and honouring the contribution of its frontline workers in creating a healthier, cleaner environment.
