Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India accelerates ahead with 5.34 lakh unit sales in August 2025
Registers 4% month-on-month growth; continues focus on road safety, product launches, and motorsports

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) reported total sales of 5,34,861 units in August 2025, comprising 4,81,021 units in domestic sales and 53,840 units in exports. The company registered a 4% month-on-month growth in total sales compared to July 2025.
For the Year-to-Date (YTD) period of FY26 (April–August 2025), HMSI recorded cumulative sales of 24,22,880 units, with 21,73,834 units sold domestically and 2,49,046 units exported.
Key Highlights of August 2025
Road Safety Initiatives:
HMSI reinforced its road safety mission by conducting awareness campaigns across 12 cities, including Bhiwadi, Prayagraj, Nayagarh, Budaun, Akola, Warangal, Nandurbar, Bangalore, Trichy, Gandhinagar, Jodhpur and Bhatinda. The campaigns targeted youth, promoting responsible road behavior and safe riding practices. The company also marked the 6th anniversary of its Safety Driving Education Centre (SDEC) in Ranchi, underscoring its commitment to equipping individuals with essential riding skills.
Product Launches & Expansion:
After the national launch of the all-new CB125 Hornet and Shine 100 DX, HMSI began regional rollouts and mass deliveries across cities like Ludhiana, Nashik, Noida, Pune, Chennai, Jodhpur, Mysore, Dhanbad, Muzaffarpur, Lucknow, and Jaipur. The company also expanded its premium retail footprint by inaugurating new BigWing outlets in Gurugram, Bengaluru, and Chennai.
Motorsports:
On the global racing front, HMSI participated in the MotoGP rounds in Austria and Hungary. Meanwhile, IDEMITSU Honda Racing India riders Kavin Quintal and Johann Reeves showcased their performance in Round 4 of the 2025 FIM Asia Road Racing Championship in Indonesia. The Round 2 of the IDEMITSU Honda India Talent Cup CB300F was also hosted in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, nurturing young racing talent.
