NTPC Bongaigaon Celebrates Teachers’ Day at Notre Dame Academy and Ankur Tiny Tots

A Day of Gratitude and Celebration as Students and Staff Honour Their Mentors

NTPC Bongaigaon marked Teachers’ Day with heartfelt celebrations at Notre Dame Academy, Salakati (EWA Campus), and Ankur Tiny Tots School, honouring the legacy of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan—renowned philosopher, teacher, and former President of India—on his birth anniversary.

At Notre Dame Academy, the event was led by Principal Sister Manju and the faculty, with vibrant cultural performances by students expressing their gratitude toward teachers. Anurag Gupta, General Manager (O&M), NTPC Bongaigaon, and Kasturi Maitra, President of Bardwi Shikla Ladies Club, felicitated the teachers with tokens of appreciation.

In his address, Anurag Gupta underscored the vital role of educators in building a value-driven society. Earlier, Amit K. Asthana, Head of HR, NTPC Bongaigaon, spoke about inspirational educators across the country who have brought about transformative change through their dedication to teaching.

At Ankur Tiny Tots, floral tributes were offered to Dr. Radhakrishnan by Kasturi Maitra and members of the Bardwi Shikla Ladies Club. Teachers were honoured with tokens of appreciation in a warm and lively function. Maitra lauded the unwavering commitment of the educators and reaffirmed the Club’s support in fostering the development of responsible young citizens.

To enliven the celebrations, engaging activities such as fun games and a quiz conducted by students were organized for the teachers at Ankur Tiny Tots, adding joy and interaction to the occasion.

The events were also graced by Sushil Kumar, AGM (CCD), Manish Kumar, Sr. Manager (C&I) and parent representative, who joined in applauding the contributions of the teaching community. Students from both institutions delivered colourful cultural performances, making the day memorable and heartfelt for all involved.
