Rich Tributes Paid to Bharat Ratna Dr. Bhupen Hazarika on His 100th Birth Anniversary at NTPC Bongaigaon

Rich and heartfelt tributes were paid to the legendary Bharat Ratna Dr. Bhupen Hazarika, the immortal Bard of Assam, on the occasion of his 100th Birth Anniversary by NTPC Bongaigaon. The solemn yet inspiring programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from the students of Notredame Academy, NTPC Salakati, and the dedicated employees of NTPC Bongaigaon, who together honoured the towering personality of Assam.

SAnurag Gupta, General Manager (O&M), NTPC Bongaigaon, along with employees, offered floral tributes to the music maestro whose soulful creations continue to resonate across generations. Addressing the gathering, Shri Gupta fondly recalled Dr. Hazarika’s invaluable contribution as a visionary, cultural icon, and voice of the masses. He highlighted how Dr. Hazarika’s immortal songs embodied humanity, unity, and hope, leaving behind an everlasting legacy that continues to inspire people across India and the world.

At the school, Principal Sister Manju Joseph, along with the children, recalled and spoke on the glorious legacy of Dr. Hazarika. She emphasized his unmatched ability to connect Assam with the rest of the world through his timeless music, powerful lyrics, and universal message of peace and brotherhood.
