Minister encourages children under ‘CCL Ke Laal’ and ‘CCL Ki Ladli’ initiatives, distributes books to inspire learning

The Union Minister of Coal and Mines, Government of India, G. Kishan Reddy, today inaugurated the state-of-the-art Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC) at the headquarters of Central Coalfields Limited (CCL), Darbhanga House, Ranchi.
The event was graced by Additional Secretary, Ministry of Coal, Sanoj Jha; Chairman, Coal India Limited (CIL), P. M. Prasad; CCL CMD Nilendu Kumar Singh; and senior officials from the Ministry of Coal, CCL, CIL, CMPDIL, BCCL, and ECL.

The ICCC is designed as a centralized monitoring system covering security and operational activities across CCL. It integrates live feeds from cameras, sensors, drones, and the Vehicle Tracking System (VTS-RFID) into a cloud-based platform, enabling real-time monitoring, risk identification, incident management, and reporting. Equipped with advanced features such as AI-based video analytics, GIS-enabled display, customizable dashboards, and multi-channel alerts, the centre is expected to significantly enhance efficiency, safety, and transparency.
During the inauguration, the Minister was given a detailed demonstration of the technological capabilities of the ICCC through a video presentation. He also interacted virtually with officials from CCL’s Piparwar Area, gaining insights into the cutting-edge operational practices enabled by the new system.

Following the formal launch, Reddy met with students of CCL’s flagship CSR programs — “CCL Ke Laal” and “CCL Ki Ladli.” He presented them with books and motivated the children to nurture the habit of reading. The Minister’s words of encouragement inspired the students, who engaged with him enthusiastically.
“CCL Ke Laal” and “CCL Ki Ladli” are transformative CSR initiatives aimed at empowering talented children from remote regions by providing them with free education, accommodation, food, and coaching for IIT-JEE preparation.
With the inauguration of the ICCC and continued focus on social welfare initiatives, CCL is reinforcing its commitment to operational excellence and community development.
