Union Bank of India Bags Kirti Puraskar for the Financial Year 2024-25

Arjun Ram Meghwal, Union Minister of State for Law & Justice, conferred the award to UBI

Union Bank of India has been honoured with the prestigious Rajbhasha Kirti Puraskar for the financial year 2024-25, conferred by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. The Bank secured the award in two categories – Excellent Implementation of Official Language and Best House Magazine – Union Srijan.

At the 5th All India Official Language Conference held in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, on September 14, 2025, Shri Amit Shah, Hon’ble Union Minister of Home Affairs & Co-operation, presented the Kirti Puraskar for the first prize in House Magazine – Union Srijan, which was received by Nitesh Ranjan, Executive Director of the Bank.

Arjun Ram Meghwal, Union Minister of State for Law & Justice, along with Dinesh Sharma, Hon’ble Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha, conferred the Kirti Puraskar for Excellent Official Language Implementation to the Bank. The award was received by Shri Suresh Chandra Teli, Chief General Manager (HR) of the Bank.

The Rajbhasha Kirti Puraskar is the highest honour bestowed by the Ministry of Home Affairs for effective promotion and implementation of Hindi across Ministries, Departments, Public Sector Undertakings, Banks, Corporations, and Journals.

On this occasion, the Bank released its publication Union Bhasha Vaibhav, along with insights on the role of banks in building a developed India by 2047 (@2047 Viksit Bharat).

Adding a cultural dimension, a prayer song jointly prepared by Union Bank of India and all 12 Public Sector Banks was presented on the second day of the conference. Furthermore, 11 Town Official Language Implementation Committees (TOLICs) operating under the convenorship of Union Bank of India were also felicitated by the Department of Official Language for their outstanding performance.
