Coal India Limited Employees to Receive ₹1.03 Lakh PLR Bonus for FY 2024-25
Payments to be made before September 26; Employees of CIL subsidiaries and SCCL to benefit

A landmark decision has been taken regarding the Performance Linked Reward (PLR) bonus for the financial year 2024-25 for non-executive cadre employees of Coal India Limited (CIL), its subsidiaries, and Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL).
At the 6th marathon meeting of the Standardisation Committee of JBCCI-XI, held on September 25 in Kolkata, deliberations that began at 3:30 pm and continued till 2:00 am resulted in the finalisation of the bonus amount.
Union representatives initially demanded ₹1.50 lakh, later scaling down to ₹1.25 lakh. After hours of tough bargaining, both sides agreed upon ₹1,03,000 (Rupees One Lakh Three Thousand) as the PLR bonus for FY 2024-25.

Meeting Participation
The discussions witnessed active participation from management representatives of CIL, MCL, ECL, BCCL, SECL, SCCL, and NCL, along with trade union leaders from BMS, HMS, AITUC, CITU, and INMF/Anup Singh (as per Calcutta High Court order).
The decision comes as a huge relief for over three lakh coal workers, with the bonus crossing the ₹1 lakh mark for the first time in recent years.
