Uttarakhand Emerges as Investment Powerhouse: CM Pushkar Singh Dhami at PHDCCI Annual Session

State signs ₹3.56 lakh crore investment deals, launches investor-friendly policies, and accelerates industrial growth

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami attended the 120th annual session of the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI) in New Delhi today, highlighting Uttarakhand’s vision to become the country’s leading state in industrial development and investment.

Welcoming entrepreneurs and industry representatives, CM Dhami emphasized the role of PHDCCI over the last 120 years in strengthening India’s industrial and entrepreneurial ecosystem. He noted that industries not only create employment but also elevate living standards and drive inclusive national growth.

Speaking on “India’s emerging role as a trusted global partner,” CM Dhami said that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, India has achieved transformative progress through initiatives like Startup India, Make in India, Vocal for Local, Skill India, and Digital India. He highlighted India’s rise as the world’s fourth-largest economy, with a growing global reputation for technology, innovation, and manufacturing.

On Uttarakhand’s growth trajectory, the Chief Minister shared:

  • The state has signed investment deals worth ₹3.56 lakh crore, with proposals worth over ₹1 lakh crore underway.
  • A single-window system and 30+ investor-friendly policies, including Industrial, Startup, MSME, and Logistics policies, have simplified approvals and strengthened governance.
  • New industrial parks and townships are being developed in Kashipur, Sitarganj, Pantnagar, and Rudrapur.
  • Flatted factories on a plug-and-play model are ready for MSMEs in Rudrapur, Selaqui, and Haridwar.
  • Smart Industrial Township development is progressing on 1,000 acres in Kichha.
  • Initiatives like U-Hub and a ₹200 crore venture fund will boost startups.
  • Uttarakhand has been recognized among Achievers in Ease of Doing Business and Leaders in Startup Rankings.

CM Dhami further highlighted efforts like the House of Himalayas Brand, which consolidates organic products from the state, GI-tagging initiatives, and women’s self-help group empowerment. The government has enabled over 260 online business services, benefiting more than 10,000 entrepreneurs under the Chief Minister Self-Employment Scheme.

Looking ahead, Uttarakhand will host the World Summit on Disaster Management (WSDM) from November 28-30, 2025, in Dehradun, bringing global experts together to promote innovation in disaster management and climate resilience.

The session was attended by Hemant Jain, President PHDCCI; Anil Gupta and Rajiv Juneja, Vice Presidents; Sanjeev Agarwal, Former President; and officials including U Cast Director General Durgesh Pant, along with representatives of industrial institutions and entrepreneurs.

With strategic policies, investor-friendly reforms, and infrastructure development, Uttarakhand is poised to become India’s most preferred investment destination.
