Ministry of Steel to Hold Open House on Steel Import Issues on October 27
Stakeholders invited to present issues related to SIMS, NOC, and QCO in Open House at Udyog Bhavan, New Delhi

The Ministry of Steel has announced that it will conduct an Open House meeting on October 27, 2025, at the Steel Room, Udyog Bhavan, New Delhi, to address issues related to import of steel.
The Open House aims to provide a platform for companies and industry associations to present their concerns on matters related to SIMS, NOC, QCO, and other import-related topics. Participants are required to obtain a confirmed time slot by sending an e-mail to tech-steel[at]nic[dot]in before 11:00 a.m. on October 24, 2025.
Interested organisations must include the following details in their e-mail:
- Name of the Company/Association
- Specific issue (SIMS/NOC/QCO/others)
- Name and designation of participant (third-party representation not allowed)
- Reference of SIMS/NOC application (if any)
- Industry type and product (Auto/Aerospace/Telecom/Defence, etc.)
- Issue summary (maximum 50 words)
- Contact details of the nodal person (mobile and e-mail)
The Open House will run from 12:00 noon to 6:00 p.m., and individual time slots will be communicated via e-mail. Walk-in participation will not be permitted, and each organisation may nominate only one representative to ensure broader industry participation.
The Ministry has urged all stakeholders facing challenges in the import of steel to make use of this opportunity and present their issues directly before the Ministry.
