Steel Executives Federation of India Council Meeting Held at SCOPE Minar, New Delhi
Executives from SAIL, RINL, NMDC, MECON, and other steel officers’ associations attended the meeting

The Council Meeting of the Steel Executives Federation of India (SEFI) was held at SCOPE Minar, the SAIL office in New Delhi, with active participation from Presidents, General Secretaries, and Council Members representing SAIL, RINL, NMDC, MECON, and other steel officers’ associations.
From the Steel Executives Association (SEA) of RINL – Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, General Secretary K.V.D. Prasad, President Katam S.S. Chandra Rao, and Vice President T. Srinivasa Rao attended the council meeting.
During the discussions, the SEA team appraised key issues concerning the steel executives, including:
- Executive promotions
- Enhancement of gratuity limit from ₹20 lakh to ₹25 lakh
- Merger of Steel PSUs
- Specific concerns related to RINL
The SEFI Council felicitated SEA President Katam S.S. Chandra Rao, appreciating his dedicated services to SEFI, National Confederation of Officers’ Associations (NCOA), and SEA. He was lauded for his successful negotiations on crucial matters concerning PSU officers such as:
SBF Pension
EPS-95 higher pension
Redesignations
Entry-level scales (E1 and E2 grades)
Council members also recalled his significant contribution in driving steel PSU merger resolutions at national forums of NCOA and SEFI.
The felicitation ceremony was conducted in a grand manner, attended by SEFI Chairman and NCOA President N.K. Banchhor, SEFI General Secretary Sanjay Arya, senior council member A.K. Singh, and several other SEFI council members.
