IndiGo Fuels Domestic Expansion with New Routes from the Newly Launched Navi Mumbai International Airport

Airline to begin operations from NMIA on 25 December, connecting 10 major Indian cities

IndiGo, India’s largest and most preferred airline, has announced the commencement of its flight operations from the newly inaugurated Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA), starting 25 December 2025. As part of the first phase, IndiGo will connect NMIA to ten key domestic destinations — Delhi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, North Goa (Mopa), Jaipur, Nagpur, Cochin, and Mangalore.

The airline also confirmed that it will progressively expand its network from NMIA by adding more direct routes in the coming months, strengthening its already robust domestic footprint.

NMIA, the second international airport in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, has been envisioned as a future-ready aviation hub designed to complement the existing Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA). Strategically located in Navi Mumbai, the airport is expected to significantly enhance regional connectivity and meet the rising air travel demand from India’s financial capital.

IndiGo’s entry into NMIA is set to accelerate the airport’s role in driving economic growth, improving travel convenience, and connecting western India to the airline’s extensive network of 95 domestic airports.
