IndiGo Inaugurates Direct Connectivity Between Delhi and Manchester
The new 5x weekly flights are being operated using Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircrafts

IndiGo, India’s preferred airline, has launched direct flights between Delhi and Manchester, beginning 15 November. This follows the successful start of its first-ever long-haul service on the Mumbai–Manchester route earlier this year, reinforcing the airline’s strategic expansion into long-haul international connectivity.
The new 5x weekly flights are being operated using Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft on damp lease from Norse Atlantic Airways. The wide-body aircraft features a two-class configuration with 56 IndiGoStretch seats and 282 Economy Class seats, designed to offer greater comfort for long-haul travellers.

Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI), one of India’s busiest global gateways, now marks the beginning of IndiGo’s long-haul services from the national capital. On the UK side, Manchester Airport—considered the most prominent international hub outside London—offers convenient access to Northern England, including major cities such as Leeds, Liverpool, and Newcastle.
By connecting these key airports, IndiGo aims to strengthen India–UK air connectivity while facilitating increased trade, tourism, business travel, and cultural exchange between the two countries.
