BCCL News: NARAKAS Dhanbad Honored for Excellent Implementation of Official Language
A total of 64 NARAKAS units from five states took part, out of which 15 were selected for awards, making NARAKAS Dhanbad’s recognition a remarkable achievement

NARAKAS Dhanbad, functioning under the chairmanship of Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL), has been honored for its outstanding implementation of the official language during the year 2024–25.
The Town Official Language Implementation Committee (NARAKAS), Dhanbad, received the award at a one-day Official Language Seminar-cum-Workshop organized in Muzaffarpur, Bihar under the aegis of the Department of Official Language, Regional Implementation Office (Eastern Region), Kolkata, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India.

Mr. Udayveer Singh, Manager (Official Language), BCCL and Member-Secretary of NARAKAS Dhanbad, received the honor from Dr. Vichitrasen Gupta, Deputy Director (Implementation), Regional Implementation Office (Eastern Region), along with other distinguished guests. Mr. Aniruddha Noniya, Translator, Official Language Department, BCCL, was also present during the ceremony.
Participation Across Eastern Region
Member-Secretaries of all Town Official Language Implementation Committees in the Eastern Region participated in this seminar-cum-workshop. Hindi Promotion Efforts Appreciated
In the closing session, officials from the Ministry of Home Affairs encouraged all participants to continue their exemplary efforts in promoting the official language. They stressed strengthening Hindi as a symbol of national unity, administrative efficiency, and social harmony.

The event is part of the Ministry’s continuous initiatives to expand the use of Hindi in government functioning and establish it as the primary medium of communication across the country.
