RITES Limited, India’s leading transport infrastructure consultancy and engineering firm, has been honoured with the CEAI National Award under the Engineering Innovation and Sustainability category for its exemplary contribution to the Udhampur–Srinagar–Baramulla Railway Line (USBRL) project.

The prestigious award was received by Dr. Deepak Tripathi, Director (Technical), and Mr. Lalit Kumar, Executive Director, during the CEAI Annual Conference & Awards 2025, organised by the Consulting Engineers Association of India (CEAI), the apex professional body of consulting engineers in the country. The event was held in New Delhi.

RITES played a key role in the USBRL project—one of India’s most challenging and strategically important railway developments—by offering comprehensive consultancy services. These included the design of alignment, extensive surveys, and design and proof-checking of 20 major bridges. The company also conducted technical audits for 25 bridges, including engineering marvels like the Chenab Bridge and the Anji Khad Bridge. Additionally, RITES implemented structural health monitoring systems for two critical bridges to enhance long-term safety and sustainability.

The recognition highlights RITES’ engineering excellence, commitment to sustainable infrastructure, and its pivotal role in enhancing national connectivity through complex, high-altitude railway projects.
