BPCL is the only Indian organization to feature in this year’s global CSS list

Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), one of India’s leading Maharatna oil and gas PSUs, has achieved a major global recognition by being named among the Top 100 Corporate Startup Stars (CSS) 2025. The prestigious list is curated jointly by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and Mind the Bridge, celebrating the world’s most exemplary corporations that champion innovation through impactful collaborations with startups.

Notably, BPCL is the only Indian organization to feature in this year’s global CSS list, reinforcing its leadership in driving innovation, technology adoption, and entrepreneurial support in the energy sector.

BPCL’s robust startup engagement is driven through its flagship initiative ‘Ankur’, launched in 2016 to nurture innovative ideas and solutions. Over the years, BPCL Ankur has supported 30 startups working across diverse domains, from digital transformation and sustainability to energy efficiency and emerging technologies.

Taking its innovation journey forward, BPCL has also established the ‘BPCL Ankur Fund’, aimed at investing in promising early-stage startups aligned with the company’s strategic roadmap and future growth priorities. This fund underscores BPCL’s commitment to fueling India’s startup ecosystem while simultaneously strengthening its own innovation pipeline.
