Tribute Programme Organised at CCL Headquarters on Mahaparinirvan Diwas of Bharat Ratna Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar
National Scheduled Tribe Commission Member Dr. Asha Lakra and CVO Pankaj Kumar attend as chief guests

Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) paid heartfelt tributes to Bharat Ratna Baba Saheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar on the occasion of his Mahaparinirvan Diwas at its headquarters today. The solemn programme saw the presence of Hon’ble Dr. Asha Lakra, Member of the National Commission for Scheduled Tribes, and Mr. Pankaj Kumar, Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO), who graced the event as chief guests. A large number of CCL General Managers, departmental heads, employees and trade union representatives also attended the ceremony.

The event began with CVO Mr. Pankaj Kumar presenting a bouquet to Chief Guest Dr. Asha Lakra. This was followed by a floral tribute ceremony, during which Dr. Lakra, Mr. Kumar, and other dignitaries paid homage to Baba Saheb by laying wreaths at his statue located on the CCL headquarters premises.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Asha Lakra said, “Baba Saheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar gave India a Constitution that paved the way for equal rights, respect, and opportunities for every citizen. His teachings inspire us to uphold the principles of justice, equality, and fraternity. On his Mahaparinirvan Diwas, we resolve to walk on the path he showed.” She also expressed her appreciation to CCL management for organizing the commemorative programme.
The event concluded with participants reflecting on the enduring legacy of Dr. Ambedkar and reiterating their commitment to nation-building based on constitutional values.
