BCCL Organises Retirement Felicitation Ceremony at Coal Bhawan Headquarters

Retired personnel honored in a program organized at Coal Bhawan Headquarters

Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) today organised a dignified retirement felicitation ceremony at its Coal Bhawan Headquarters to honour employees retiring from service after decades of dedicated contribution to the company.

A total of 20 personnel, including 15 officers from various areas and headquarters and five employees from headquarters, were felicitated during the programme.

The ceremony, held in the conference room at Coal Bhawan, was presided over by CMD, BCCL, Manoj Kumar Agarwal. The event was attended by Director (Human Resources) Murali Krishna Ramaiah, Director (Technical–Operations) Sanjay Kumar Singh, OSD (Finance) Rajesh Kumar, GM (HR) Kumar Manoj, GM (Administration) Arpan Ghosh, HoD (Industrial Relations/CSR) Surendra Bhushan, HoD (Welfare) Kiran Rani Nayak, Nodal Officer (Officer Establishment) Manish Chandra Sahu, representatives of labour organisations and CMOAI, senior officers, heads of departments, employees, and family members of the retirees.

The programme commenced with the reading out of certificates of honour for the retiring employees. Subsequently, the retirees were felicitated with robes, coconuts, mementos, certificates of appreciation, and other gifts as a mark of respect and gratitude.

Addressing the gathering, CMD Shri Manoj Kumar Agarwal said that retirement marks the meaningful conclusion of a proud journey of dedicated service. He wished the retiring employees a fulfilling new chapter in life and encouraged them to focus on health, personal growth, and continued contribution to society. He emphasised that the experience and commitment of the retiring employees had played a significant role in the growth and progress of BCCL.

It may be noted that 183 personnel, including 15 officers and 168 employees, retired from various departments and regions of BCCL in December. While the headquarters ceremony was organised for all 15 retiring officers and five employees, separate felicitation programmes were also conducted across BCCL regions for employees retiring locally.

During the programme, retiring employees shared their experiences and expressed pride in being part of the BCCL family, recalling their long association with the company as a memorable and defining phase of their lives.

The programme was moderated, and the vote of thanks was delivered by Pranav Ojha, Manager (Human Resources/Public Relations).
