High-Level Review Meeting of CCL Held Under the Chairmanship of Minister of State for Coal & Mines Satish Chandra Dubey

Minister reviews coal production, safety, environmental initiatives and future strategy of Central Coalfields Limited

Minister of State for Coal & Mines, Government of India, Satish Chandra Dubey, chaired a high-level review meeting of Central Coalfields Limited (CCL). The objective of the meeting was to comprehensively review the company’s performance, future plans, and strategic priorities.

Senior officials from the Ministry of Coal, along with CCL Chairman-cum-Managing Director Nilendu Kumar Singh, Director (Finance) Pawan Kumar Mishra, Director (Human Resources) Harsh Nath Mishra, Director (Technical/Operations) Chandra Shekhar Tiwari, Director (Planning & Projects) Anup Hanjura, and other senior officials were present at the meeting.

During the review, the Minister assessed the progress of coal production, operational efficiency, compliance with mining safety standards, environmental protection initiatives, and ongoing as well as proposed projects, and issued necessary directions. He also laid special emphasis on action plans for the current financial year, long-term strategy, innovation, and technological strengthening.

Appreciating CCL’s significant contribution to the country’s energy sector, the Minister stated that the company is playing a vital role in ensuring national energy security. He urged officials to work with full commitment towards realizing the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat by prioritizing safe, sustainable, and environment-friendly mining practices.

The meeting also emphasized coordinated efforts to address future challenges, ensure timely implementation of projects, and achieve excellence in the coal sector.
