India Energy Week 2026: Hardeep Singh Puri Inaugurates Hydrogen Zone, Showcasing India’s Low-Carbon Energy Push

The Hydrogen Zone is one of 11 strategically curated thematic zones at IEW 2026

Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas Hardeep Singh Puri today inaugurated the Hydrogen Zone at India Energy Week (IEW) 2026, highlighting India’s accelerating transition towards a low-carbon and sustainable energy future.

Hosted by Oil India, the Hydrogen Zone features next-generation technologies spanning hydrogen production, storage and utilisation, offering a comprehensive snapshot of global clean-energy pathways.

Through curated exhibits and industry participation, the zone demonstrates hydrogen’s potential to decarbonise hard-to-abate sectors such as refining, fertilisers, steel and mobility, while positioning India as a competitive player in emerging global hydrogen markets.

The Hydrogen Zone is one of 11 strategically curated thematic zones at IEW 2026, enabling direct engagement between policymakers, industry leaders, investors and technology providers on solutions, partnerships and business models.

India Energy Week 2026 is hosting over 75,000 energy professionals, 700+ companies, and delegates from 120+ countries, with thematic areas covering Hydrogen, Renewables, Digitalisation & AI, Biofuels, LNG Ecosystem, City Gas Distribution, Petrochemicals, Make in India and India Net-Zero.
