ONGC Signs Master Regasification Agreement with Petronet LNG Limited at India Energy Week 2026
Agreement enables spot LNG cargo unloading at Dahej terminal, boosting flexibility in gas sourcing and strengthening India’s energy security

At India Energy Week 2026, Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC) signed a Master Regasification Agreement (MRA) with Petronet LNG Limited, enabling spot LNG cargo unloading and regasification at Petronet’s Dahej terminal in Gujarat.
The agreement marks a significant step in enhancing ONGC’s flexibility in sourcing spot LNG cargoes while strengthening its domestic gas marketing capabilities. By securing access to regasification infrastructure at Dahej—India’s largest LNG import terminal—ONGC aims to ensure timely availability of natural gas to consumers across the country.
The collaboration supports ONGC’s integrated gas strategy by improving supply responsiveness during peak demand periods and volatile global LNG markets. It also reinforces India’s broader objective of building a resilient, diversified, and competitive natural gas ecosystem.
Through such strategic partnerships, ONGC continues to expand its midstream and downstream capabilities, positioning itself as a key enabler of India’s energy transition while ensuring reliable and affordable gas supplies for industrial, commercial, and city gas distribution customers nationwide.
