8 Oil PSUs to Field Nearly 300 Para-Athletes at ONGC’s 7th Para Games from Feb 26
ONGC alone will field a contingent of 170 employee-athletes in this edition

Nearly 300 para-athletes from eight Oil and Gas Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) will participate in the 7th edition of the ONGC Para Games, scheduled to begin on February 26, 2026, at the Thyagaraj Stadium.
The multi-discipline sporting event will bring together employee-athletes representing leading energy PSUs, including Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), Engineers India Limited (EIL), GAIL (India) Limited (GAIL), Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL), Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL), Oil India Limited (OIL), and host organization Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC). The event reflects sector-wide commitment toward inclusive employee engagement and diversity initiatives across the oil and gas industry.
Since its inception in 2017, the ONGC Para Games has evolved into a flagship platform that provides employees with disabilities an opportunity to participate in competitive sports within a structured environment aligned with national and international standards.
The Games will feature competitions across multiple disciplines, including Athletics, Table Tennis, Badminton, Swimming, and Wheelchair Race events. Participants will compete across various disability classifications such as Hearing and Speech Impairment, Upper and Lower Limb disabilities, Visual Impairment (Low Vision and No Vision), and Wheelchair categories.

The event will also see the presence of accomplished national and international para-athletes, including Jummanna Wadageri, Arunkumar S. Makkalageri, Sannamaresha, Mantu Kumar, Riddhi Thacker, Aman Tipu Chauhan, Dilbagh, Rahul Gupta, Pradeep Chahal, Nirmalkumar Patel, Madan Kumar, Joby Mathew, and Manasi Joshi, adding further prominence to the Games.
The previous edition of the ONGC Para Games witnessed participation from over 300 para-athletes representing eight PSUs across similar sporting disciplines.
The Opening Ceremony of the Games will be held on February 26, 2026, at Thyagaraj Stadium, New Delhi.
