Coal India Medical Conference – CIMECON 2026 to be Held from February 28 on Theme “Healthy Mines, Healthy Nation”
Over 250 doctors from Coal India subsidiaries and leading hospitals to participate in three-day national conference

South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL) will host the three-day Coal India Medical Conference – CIMECON 2026 from February 28 to March 2, 2026, in Bilaspur, bringing together more than 250 medical professionals from across the country.
The national-level conference will see participation from doctors representing Coal India Limited and all its subsidiary companies, along with eminent specialists from leading hospitals, making it one of the largest internal medical knowledge-sharing platforms within India’s mining sector.
Organised under the aegis of SECL, this year’s theme — “Healthy Mines, Healthy Nation” — highlights the growing importance of strengthening healthcare systems in mining regions, enhancing occupational health and safety standards, and promoting preventive healthcare among employees working in coalfields.
Renowned medical experts and subject specialists will deliver lectures covering a wide spectrum of contemporary healthcare challenges, including occupational diseases, industrial and mine health, emergency medical management, lifestyle disorders, mental health, and expansion of modern medical infrastructure in mining areas.
A major highlight of CIMECON 2026 will be the presentation of research papers by doctors from various Coal India subsidiaries. These presentations will showcase innovations, field-based studies, and best practices aimed at improving healthcare delivery and medical services in remote mining regions.
The conference is expected to strengthen knowledge exchange, institutional coordination, and collaborative efforts within Coal India’s medical network, ultimately contributing to improved healthcare services for employees and their families.
Hosting CIMECON 2026 is being viewed as a significant milestone for SECL as well as for the state of Chhattisgarh, reinforcing efforts to advance healthcare standards in India’s mining belts.
