NTPC Vindhyachal Celebrates International Women’s Day, Highlights Women Leadership and Empowerment
Interactive sessions, motivational talk by Arunima Patra and leadership insights mark the celebrations

NTPC Vindhyachal celebrated International Women’s Day with enthusiasm and pride, honouring the invaluable contributions of its women workforce through a vibrant and engaging programme. The event reflected NTPC’s continued commitment to fostering an inclusive workplace where women play a vital role in the organisation’s journey of excellence and nation-building.
The celebration featured interactive sessions, inspiring discussions and joyful moments that highlighted the achievements and growing leadership of women employees across the organisation. A special highlight of the programme was the screening of a short video showcasing the women of NTPC Vindhyachal working across various departments, capturing their dedication and contributions to organisational growth.
During the programme, Mrinalini, AGM (HR), elaborated on the directive issued by the Ministry of Women & Child Development regarding the nationwide International Women’s Day campaign led by President Droupadi Murmu. She also spoke about the initiative “ShaktiWalk – #SheLeadsBharat,” which aims to promote women’s leadership and empowerment across the country.
The highlight of the celebration was an engaging and insightful session by Arunima Patra, Founder Director of Tanvi Consultancy Services Pvt. Ltd. A seasoned HR professional and national motivational speaker, she has over a decade of global experience with IBM Global Services across the United States, Canada and Mexico as a Learning & Development practitioner. She has conducted more than 2,000 workshops across 25 states, impacting nearly two lakh participants.
Her interactive and experiential session for women employees focused on emotional intelligence, financial awareness and leadership development, making the learning experience both enriching and enjoyable for the participants.
The programme also included a traditional cake-cutting ceremony, adding a warm celebratory spirit to the occasion.
Addressing the gathering, A.J. Rajkumar, GM (O&M), appreciated the resilience, dedication and growing leadership of women employees across Public Sector Undertakings. He cited notable examples from organisations such as ONGC and SAIL, emphasising that women empowerment remains integral to NTPC’s progress and reaffirming the organisation’s commitment to supporting their growth and leadership.
The celebration was attended by several senior dignitaries, including M. Suresh, GM (Maintenance & ADM); S.K. Sinha, GM (Operation & FM); Dr B.K. Bharali, GM (Medical Services); Debabrata Tripathy, GM (TS & Project); Ruma De Sharma, Head of HR (Vindhyachal); and Dr Debasmita Tripathy, AGM (RLI).
The event concluded with the felicitation of Arunima Patra and all women employees by the senior management team. The programme was anchored by Kamna Sharma, DGM (HR), and Anam Khan, Officer (HR), with support from the RLI, TAD and IT departments, reaffirming NTPC Vindhyachal’s commitment to creating an empowering environment where women continue to thrive, lead and inspire.
