Nita M. Ambani Conferred KISS Humanitarian Award 2025 in Bhubaneswar
Instituted in 2008 by Dr. Achyuta Samanta, the KISS Humanitarian Award is the highest honour of KISS
Nita M. Ambani, Founder and Chairperson of Reliance Foundation, was conferred the prestigious KISS Humanitarian Award 2025 at the campus of Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) on Monday.
The award was presented by Nobel Laureate Mohan Munasinghe in the presence of Achyuta Samanta, Founder of KIIT, KISS and KIMS. The ceremony witnessed the participation of senior officials, dignitaries and thousands of students.
Recognition of Humanitarian Contributions
The honour recognises Nita Ambani’s extensive contributions to social development through initiatives in education, healthcare, rural transformation, women empowerment and sports development under the banner of Reliance Foundation.
In her acceptance speech, she praised Dr. Samanta’s vision, calling KIIT and KISS “modern temples of education” and a matter of national pride. She dedicated the award to the entire Reliance Foundation team.
Inspiring the Next Generation
Addressing over 40,000 students, Ambani expressed deep gratitude for the warm welcome and said she would “never forget the love and affection” received at KISS.

Emphasising gender equality, she noted that girls are equally capable of achieving everything that boys can.

Ambani also spoke about her emotional connection with Odisha, describing it as the sacred land of Lord Jagannath. She appreciated the state’s rich cultural heritage and the people’s deep bond with nature.
