CIL Inter-Company Badminton Tournament 2026 Kicks Off at BCCL
160+ players are participating in the tournament organized under the aegis of Coal India Limited
The CIL Inter-Company Badminton Tournament–2026, hosted by Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL), was inaugurated with great enthusiasm at the Nehru Complex, Koyla Nagar, marking the beginning of a vibrant four-day sporting event from March 25 to 28, 2026.
Grand Inauguration Ceremony
The tournament was formally inaugurated by Manoj Kumar Agarwal, CMD, BCCL, in the presence of senior officials including Director (Human Resources) Murali Krishna Ramaiah and GM (HR) Kumar Manoj, along with General Managers, department heads, union representatives, and a large gathering of employees and athletes.
The ceremony featured:
- Hoisting of the Coal India flag
- Singing of the National Anthem and Coal India corporate song
- Traditional lighting of the ceremonial lamp
- Formal introduction of players, referees, and coaches by the CMD

The tournament was officially declared open with a symbolic inaugural match played by the CMD and Director (HR).
