Retirement Felicitation Ceremony Held at Koyla Bhawan Headquarters, BCCL

A total of 129 personnel retired from BCCL in March 2026, including one officer and 128 employees from headquarters and various regions

A dignified retirement felicitation ceremony was organised today at Koyla Bhawan Headquarters of Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL), where eight personnel—including the General Manager (HRD) and seven employees from the headquarters—were honoured on their superannuation.

The programme was presided over by CMD, BCCL, Mr. Manoj Kumar Agarwal. Senior officials present on the occasion included Director (Technical Operations) Mr. Sanjay Kumar Singh, Director (Finance) Mr. Rajesh Kumar, General Manager (Administration) Mr. Arpan Ghosh, HoD (Officer Establishment) Mrs. Shobha J. Kujur, and HoD (Employee Establishment) Mrs. Madhusmita Lakra. Representatives of various labour organisations, senior officers, department heads, employees, and family members of the retiring personnel were also in attendance.

The ceremony commenced with the reading of citations highlighting the contributions of the retiring employees. They were felicitated with shawls, coconuts, mementos, certificates of appreciation, and other tokens of gratitude.

In his presidential address, CMD Mr. Manoj Kumar Agarwal described retirement as a meaningful milestone marking the culmination of a disciplined and dedicated career. He noted that it offers an opportunity for introspection, personal growth, and continued contribution to society. He encouraged the retirees to prioritise their health, stay active, and share their valuable experiences for the benefit of both society and the organisation. He also extended his best wishes for their future.

It is noteworthy that a total of 129 personnel retired from BCCL in March 2026, including one officer and 128 employees from headquarters and various regions. Today’s ceremony at Coal Bhawan was held specifically for one retiring officer and seven employees from the headquarters. Similar felicitation programmes were also conducted across all BCCL regions.

The retiring personnel included: Anup Kumar Roy (General Manager – Mining), Rabindra Nath Mukherjee (Cost Accountant/Accountant), Dhani Ram (Safai Karamchari), Sabia Devi (General Assistant), Kapil Dev Ram (Office Superintendent – OL), Chanchal Chakraborty (Senior Data Entry Operator, Grade-I), Harbans Singh (Office Superintendent), and Arbind Kumar Singh (Security Guard).

The programme was conducted by Manager (HR/PR) Mr. Pranav Ojha, who also delivered the vote of thanks.
