Subhankar Sen Appointed Chairman of Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL)

Sen, also gets additional charge of Director (HR), BPCL, following superannuation of Raj Kumar Dubey

In a significant leadership development in India’s energy sector, Subhankar Sen, Director (Marketing) at Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), has officially assumed charge as the Chairman of Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL) with effect from April 1, 2026.

Sen succeeds Raj Kumar Dubey, whose tenure as Chairman concluded on April 1, 2026, following his superannuation.

Board Approves Leadership Transition

The Board of Directors of IGL, through a resolution passed by circulation on March 31, 2026, approved the following changes:

  • Appointment of Subhankar Sen as Chairman (effective April 1, 2026)
  • Cessation of Raj Kumar Dubey as Chairman (effective April 1, 2026)

As per the company’s Articles of Association, promoter entities GAIL and BPCL nominate the Chairman of IGL on a rotational basis for a two-year term.
