HPCL Reaffirms Stable LPG & Fuel Supply; Urges Consumers to Avoid Panic Booking

Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) has reassured customers across the country that domestic LPG and fuel supplies remain stable, adequate, and under continuous monitoring, despite ongoing geopolitical developments impacting global energy markets.
The company emphasized that LPG distribution continues to receive the highest operational priority, with uninterrupted supply to households. HPCL is currently dispatching over 15.2 lakh LPG cylinders daily, a figure aligned with normal consumption and distribution patterns.
To enhance customer convenience, HPCL highlighted the growing adoption of digital platforms for LPG refill bookings. Nearly 93% of bookings are now being made via IVRS, SMS, missed calls, HP PAY, and WhatsApp, reflecting a significant shift toward digital engagement.
On the fuels front, the company maintained robust supply levels on April 3, 2026, delivering 36,188 KL (over 3.6 crore litres) of petrol and 67,339 KL (over 6.7 crore litres) of diesel through its nationwide retail network.
HPCL also underscored its commitment to transparency and consumer safety through DAC/OTP-based authentication systems, ensuring secure and verified delivery of LPG cylinders. Customers can raise concerns or seek assistance via HPCL’s social media channels, official web portal, and toll-free helpline.
In a strong move to curb malpractices, the company has intensified enforcement actions. Over 3,650 surprise inspections have been conducted, resulting in action against 31 distributors, including the suspension of 12 distributorships. Additionally, coordinated efforts with other oil marketing companies and state governments have led to 653 raids, 40 FIRs, and seizure of over 3,163 cylinders.
Reiterating its assurance, HPCL stated that there is no anticipated shortage of LPG and urged consumers to avoid panic booking, unnecessary queuing, or stockpiling. Customers have been advised to rely only on official communication channels for accurate information.
HPCL reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring seamless LPG availability, maintaining transparency in distribution, and taking strict action against any irregularities in the supply chain.
