BEML Launches Long Reach Excavator with Dredge Pump to Boost India’s Dredging Capabilities

The launch aligns with the Government of India’s India Maritime Vision 2030

BEML Limited has unveiled a Long Reach Excavator integrated with a dredge pump at its Kolar Gold Fields (KGF) Complex, marking a significant step in strengthening India’s dredging and desilting capabilities.

The newly launched equipment is designed to deliver efficient and cost-effective dredging solutions for inland waterways, reservoirs, mining areas, canals, and coastal infrastructure projects. Notably, BEML becomes the first OEM in India to introduce an excavator integrated with a dredge pump.

Strategic Collaboration with Dragflow

The advanced system has been developed in collaboration with Italy-based Dragflow S.R.L., combining BEML’s heavy engineering expertise with globally proven dredging technology.

Launch Event

The equipment was formally launched by Anandji Prasad, Director (Technical–Operations), Western Coalfields Limited, in the presence of senior officials from the Indian Navy, WCL, and BEML. The event also saw participation from Yogananda G., Complex Head, KGF.
