IIM Jammu Inaugurates Leadership Development Program for Young Managers (Batch III) with SAIL

The program aims to equip SAIL executives with modern managerial skills, strategic insight, and leadership capabilities to drive organizational growth and contribute to India’s development

Indian Institute of Management Jammu inaugurated the Leadership Development Program for Young Managers (Batch III) in collaboration with Steel Authority of India Limited at its Jagti Campus on April 13, 2026.

The five-day executive program has brought together 28 participants from various SAIL plants across India, highlighting a strong commitment to leadership enhancement and capacity building within the public sector.

Inaugural Ceremony and Key Dignitaries

The inaugural session was presided over by Prof. Jabir Ali, Dean (Faculty & Research), IIM Jammu. The ceremony was graced by Srimant Mallick, General Manager (HR – L&D), SAIL-MTI and Officiating Head of Academics, along with Prof. Prashant Mishra, Chairperson, Executive Education & Consultancy (EE&C), IIM Jammu.

Other notable attendees included Chandra Nath Kumar, Senior Manager (HR-L&D), SAIL-MTI (online), and program directors Dr. Harsha Jariwala, Dr. Parvathy B, and Dr. Sakhti Nagraj.

Addressing the participants, Shri Srimant Mallick emphasized the significance of the program and encouraged executives to adopt a results-oriented approach to learning. He highlighted key focus areas such as productivity enhancement, cost optimization, digitalization, and innovation.

He also urged participants to:
