Kenduadih Landslide: Administration, BCCL Urge Immediate Relocation to Belgadia Township

In the wake of the recent landslide in the Kenduadih area on Bokaro main road, the district administration along with Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) conducted a comprehensive inspection and urged affected residents to relocate immediately to Belgadia Township for safety.
Senior officials including Deputy Commissioner Aditya Ranjan, BCCL CMD Manoj Kumar Agarwal, SSP Prabhat Kumar, DTOP Sanjay Kumar Singh, and other key officials from BCCL and the district administration visited the affected sites, assessing damage to the main road and surrounding areas and evaluating potential risks.
Following the field inspection, a high-level meeting was held at Kenduadih police station, where officials termed the situation “extremely serious” and emphasized that public safety remains the top priority.
Authorities highlighted that the landslide has also impacted the Kenduadih police station, which will be shifted to a safer location soon.
The Deputy Commissioner assured that all families relocating to Belgadia Township will receive benefits under JREDA 2.0 rehabilitation provisions.
