NTPC Green Energy Limited Commissions 150 MW Solar Project in Rajasthan, Boosts Total Capacity to 10,276 MW

The project has been developed by Project Sixteen Renewable Power Private Limited, a step-down subsidiary of the joint venture ONGC NTPC Green Private Limited (ONGPL)

NTPC Green Energy Limited has announced the commercial operation of 150 MW capacity from its 300 MW solar project in Rajasthan, marking another key milestone in its renewable energy expansion.

The project has been developed by Project Sixteen Renewable Power Private Limited, a step-down subsidiary of the joint venture ONGC NTPC Green Private Limited (ONGPL).

With this commissioning effective April 18, 2026, the total operational capacity of the NTPC Green Energy Limited Group has increased from 10,126.40 MW to 10,276.40 MW.

This addition forms part of the larger 300 MW solar installation in Rajasthan and reflects the company’s continued push towards scaling up clean energy assets.

The development reinforces NTPC Green Energy Limited’s strategic focus on expanding its renewable energy footprint and contributing to India’s energy transition goals. The company continues to strengthen its position as a key player in the country’s green energy ecosystem through steady capacity additions.
