Acknowledging the nearly 300,000-strong Indian community in Germany, Singh lauded their significant contributions across sectors such as business, technology, healthcare, academia, and the arts. He emphasized that their achievements have not only enhanced India’s global image but also strengthened people-to-people ties between the two countries.

India’s Rising Global Influence

Highlighting India’s growing stature on the world stage, Singh credited the leadership of Narendra Modi for transforming how India is perceived internationally.

“Earlier, India’s voice at global forums was often overlooked; today, the world listens attentively,” he said.

He urged the diaspora to actively promote India’s perspective globally and contribute to deepening economic and strategic cooperation between India and Germany.

75 Years of India-Germany Diplomatic Relations

Singh noted that 2026 marks 75 years of diplomatic relations between India and Germany—relations built on trust, mutual respect, and shared democratic values. He encouraged the diaspora to further strengthen this partnership while preserving their cultural identity and heritage.

Focus on Economic Growth and Innovation

The Raksha Mantri highlighted India’s rapid economic progress and technological advancements, citing developments in infrastructure, start-ups, space exploration, and digital innovation. He reiterated that the vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat aims to boost domestic manufacturing, enhance self-reliance, and reduce import dependency.

Government’s Commitment to the Diaspora

Reaffirming the government’s support, Singh assured that India remains committed to the safety, security, and well-being of its citizens living abroad.
