BCCL Honours Retiring Employees at Koyla Bhawan with Warm Felicitation Ceremony

Retired employees termed their journey in the coal PSU as a memorable and emotionally significant one

A dignified retirement felicitation ceremony was organised at the headquarters of Bharat Coking Coal Limited at Koyla Bhawan, Dhanbad, where five retiring personnel, including one senior officer and four employees from headquarters, were honoured for their dedicated service to the company. Koyla Bhawan serves as the registered headquarters of BCCL in Dhanbad.

The ceremony was presided over by Director (Human Resources) Murali Krishna Ramaiah in the august presence of Director (Technical-Operations) Sanjay Kumar Singh, Director (Finance) Rajesh Kumar, General Manager (Administration) Arpan Ghosh, senior departmental heads, representatives of labour unions, officers, staff members and family members of the retiring employees.

The programme commenced with the reading of citations highlighting the contributions of the retiring personnel. Thereafter, they were felicitated with ceremonial shawls, coconuts, mementoes, appreciation certificates and gifts as a mark of gratitude and respect.

Addressing the gathering, Director (HR) Murali Krishna Ramaiah described retirement as a significant milestone that reflects years of commitment, hard work and invaluable experience. He said that every employee contributes meaningfully to the growth of the organisation and their professional journey continues to inspire younger generations. He extended his best wishes for a healthy, happy and fulfilling post-retirement life.

Director (Technical-Operations) Sanjay Kumar Singh and Director (Finance) Rajesh Kumar also conveyed their heartfelt greetings, wishing the retirees prosperity, sound health and peace in the years ahead.

Notably, a total of 133 personnel retired from BCCL during April 2026, including one officer and 132 employees from headquarters as well as different operational areas. Similar farewell ceremonies were organised across various BCCL regions for employees retiring from field establishments.

Those felicitated at Koyla Bhawan included Dr. Poonam Dubey (Chief Medical Services), Md. Wajid Ansari (Senior EP Fitter), Ram Pravesh Chauhan (Office Superintendent), Girish Choudhary (Chief Pharmacist) and Shri Gahnu Ram Mahato (Senior EP Fitter).

On the occasion, the retiring employees also shared memories from their long association with the company and expressed pride in being part of the BCCL family. They termed their journey in the coal major as memorable and emotionally significant.

The programme was conducted by Manager (Official Language) Udayveer Singh, who also delivered the vote of thanks.
