IIM Jammu Concludes Transformative Leadership Development Programme for Young Managers of Steel Authority of India Limited
The programme was designed to strengthen strategic thinking, managerial excellence and future-ready leadership capabilities
The Indian Institute of Management Jammu successfully concluded a five-day Leadership Development Programme for Young Managers (Batch-I) of Steel Authority of India Limited from April 27 to May 1, 2026, at the Vedanta MDP Centre, IIM Jammu.
The specially curated executive programme was designed to strengthen strategic thinking, managerial excellence and future-ready leadership capabilities among emerging executives of Steel Authority of India Limited, one of India’s leading Maharatna CPSUs.
The valedictory session was presided over virtually by Sanjay Dhar, Executive Director (HR-L&D), MTI SAIL. The ceremony was also attended by Prof. Prashant Mishra, Chairperson, Executive Education and Consultancy, Dr. Sarbjit Singh, Programme Director, and Dr. Chinmaya Kumar Swain, Programme Director, Indian Institute of Management Jammu.
Participants lauded the programme for its enriching academic environment, warm hospitality and highly engaging faculty interactions. They particularly appreciated the peer-to-peer learning, practical case-based discussions and insightful sessions aimed at addressing real-world managerial and organizational challenges.
The young managers noted that the programme significantly broadened their outlook beyond routine operational responsibilities, especially in areas relating to business strategy, sales orientation, profitability and enterprise leadership. They also expressed their resolve to implement the learnings within their respective work domains and share the knowledge with fellow colleagues across the organization.
The programme concluded with the distribution of certificates to all participants. Dr. Chinmaya Kumar Swain delivered the vote of thanks, acknowledging the contribution of dignitaries, faculty members, participants and the organizing team in making the programme a grand success. The event ended with the National Anthem.
The successful completion of the programme once again underlines Indian Institute of Management Jammu’s growing role in executive education and leadership development through strategic institutional collaborations.
