Coal India Introduces New Uniform Dress Code for Employees Across All Subsidiaries

The company believes that the new uniform policy will bring greater uniformity among employees

Coal India Limited has issued a revised uniform policy for its employees, which will come into effect from May. The new guidelines prescribe a fixed dress code for both male and female employees. Men will wear grey shirts with black trousers, while women have been given three attire options.

Coal India Limited has announced a modified uniform policy for its workforce, to be implemented from this month itself. Under the revised rules, specific dress patterns and colour combinations have been defined separately for male and female employees. The company has also made it mandatory for every employee to procure at least three sets of uniforms annually.

For male employees, the prescribed uniform will consist of a grey formal shirt paired with black formal trousers. In contrast, female employees have been offered greater flexibility through three different clothing options. They may choose any one of these options or a combination thereof, depending on their comfort and convenience.

The first option for women is a grey or maroon formal shirt with black formal trousers. The second option includes a grey or maroon kurta/kameez paired with black salwar and dupatta. The third option consists of a grey or maroon saree with a black blouse.

The company believes that the new uniform policy will bring greater uniformity among employees, strengthen a professional work environment, and enhance the overall institutional image of the organisation.
