NTPC Vindhyachal Celebrates International Nurses Day 2026 with Compassion and Commitment

Nursing professionals reaffirmed their commitment to compassionate and dedicated healthcare service

NTPC Limited’s Vindhyachal unit marked International Nurses Day 2026 with great enthusiasm and dignity at Vindhya Hospital, highlighting the vital role of nurses in healthcare delivery.

The celebration was graced by Sanjeeb Kumar Saha, Head of Project (HOP), Vindhyachal, as the Chief Guest, in the esteemed presence of A. J. Rajkumar, General Manager (O&M), and Ruma De Sharma, Head of HR (Vindhyachal). The programme was chaired by Dr. B. K. Bharali, GM (Medical Services) and saw active participation from doctors, nursing officers, paramedical staff, and employees.

The event commenced with floral tributes and candle-light illumination, followed by a cake-cutting ceremony and an oath-taking session, where nursing professionals reaffirmed their commitment to compassionate and dedicated healthcare service.

Addressing the gathering, dignitaries praised the unwavering dedication and humanitarian spirit of the nursing fraternity. They emphasized that nurses not only provide medical care but also offer emotional support and empathy—an essential pillar of patient recovery.

Sanjeeb Kumar Saha described nursing services as the “backbone of every hospital”, commending the Vindhya Hospital nursing team for their exceptional contribution and commitment to patient care.

The celebration was further enlivened by vibrant cultural performances, including group songs, dances, and socially themed skits presented by the nursing staff, which received wide appreciation from the audience.

The programme was efficiently coordinated by Surjan Singh Rajput, Assistant Officer (Vindhya Hospital). A dinner hosted for employees and guests added warmth and camaraderie to the memorable occasion.
