NTPC Units Lead Swachhata Drive: Vindhyachal & Mouda Launch Campaigns with Rallies, Walkathons
Mass participation, pledge ceremonies and outreach activities mark Swachhata Pakhwada 2026

Reinforcing its commitment to cleanliness and sustainability, NTPC Limited has launched large-scale Swachhata initiatives across its stations, with Vindhyachal and Mouda leading the charge through rallies, walkathons and community-driven programmes aligned with the vision of Mahatma Gandhi.
NTPC Vindhyachal Organises Swachhata Rally & Pledge
At Vindhyachal Super Thermal Power Station, a vibrant Swachhata Rally was organised with enthusiastic participation from employees, their family members, CISF personnel and associates. The rally commenced from Vindhya Club and culminated at the Sarveshwar Temple premises, spreading awareness through energetic slogans across the township.

The Swachhata Pledge was administered by Sanjib Kumar Saha, Head of Project (Vindhyachal), in the presence of senior officials including A.J. Rajkumar, GM (O&M); M. Suresh, GM (Maintenance & ADM); S.K. Sinha, GM (Operation & FM); Dr B.K. Bharali, GM (Medical Services); and Ruma De Sharma, Head of HR.
Participants pledged to devote 100 hours annually towards cleanliness, avoid littering and inspire others to actively contribute to the Swachh Bharat Mission.

NTPC Mouda Kicks Off Swachhata Pakhwada with Walkathon
Simultaneously, NTPC Mouda marked the commencement of Swachhata Pakhwada 2026 (May 16–31) with a Walkathon aimed at promoting cleanliness and community participation.
The campaign began with a Swachhata Pledge administered by Joseph Bastian, Head of Project, and Shri Parimal Kumar Mishra, GM (O&M), encouraging employees to adopt hygienic practices and contribute towards a cleaner environment.
The programme saw participation from senior officials, Heads of Departments, union representatives, welfare bodies, employees and their families, reflecting a strong collective commitment.
Extensive Community Outreach Planned
As part of Swachhata Pakhwada 2026, NTPC Mouda has planned a comprehensive set of activities including:
- Cleanliness awareness drives in nearby villages
- Campaigns across offices and township premises
- Cleanliness initiatives at Bhavan’s School
- Street plays in villages to spread awareness
- Hygiene sessions for housekeeping staff
- Competitions and signature campaigns involving employees and families
Driving a Nationwide Cleanliness Movement
The large-scale participation across both stations highlights NTPC’s strong culture of responsibility and community engagement. These initiatives not only strengthen workplace and township cleanliness but also extend the message to surrounding communities.
Through such sustained efforts, NTPC continues to play a pivotal role in advancing the national mission of a cleaner, healthier and more sustainable India.
