C. Satya Rama Krishna Elevated as Executive Director in NTPC
Veteran power sector professional and Head of Project, NTPC Barh, rises to Executive Director rank after over 35 years of distinguished service
C. Satya Rama Krishna, currently serving as Chief General Manager and Head of Project at NTPC Limited Barh Super Thermal Power Station, has been elevated to the position of Executive Director in NTPC. The elevation recognizes his outstanding contribution to power generation, operations and maintenance excellence, and leadership across various NTPC stations during a career spanning more than three decades.
A seasoned power sector professional from NTPC’s 1990 Executive Trainee batch, Krishna joined the company on October 26, 1990. An engineering graduate from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University with a Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Science, he has developed extensive expertise in thermal power plant operations, maintenance, fuel management, ash management and business leadership.
Over the course of his distinguished career, Krishna has served at key NTPC stations, including NTPC Ramagundam, NTPC Kudgi and NTPC Talcher Kaniha, handling critical assignments in Operations, Fuel Handling and Operations & Maintenance functions. His vast operational experience and focus on safety, efficiency and business excellence have contributed significantly to improved plant performance and operational reliability.
As Head of Project at NTPC Barh Super Thermal Power Station, Krishna has played a pivotal role in enhancing operational performance, fostering a strong safety culture, strengthening stakeholder engagement and driving organizational excellence. Under his leadership, NTPC Barh has continued its journey towards higher standards of operational efficiency, sustainability and community engagement.
Widely respected across the organization for his people-centric leadership, technical expertise and strategic vision, Krishna’s elevation to Executive Director is seen as recognition of his significant contributions to NTPC and the power sector.
