The recruitment drive offers opportunities for ITI Pass, 10th Pass, and 8th Pass candidates under various trades at the prestigious Mumbai shipyard.

Educational Qualification
Group A – 10th Pass Trades
- Passed SSC/Class 10 examination.
- Mathematics and General Science must have been studied.
- ITI-qualified candidates are not eligible for Group A trades.
Group B – ITI Trades
- Passed ITI in the relevant trade from a Government-recognized Industrial Training Institute.
Group C – 8th Pass Trades
- Passed Class 8 examination under the 10+2 education system.
- Science and Mathematics should have been studied.
- ITI-qualified candidates are not eligible for Group C trades.
Minimum Marks Requirement
- General/OBC/SEBC/EWS: Minimum 50% aggregate marks.
- SC/ST: Pass Class.
Candidates appearing in the final ITI examination may also apply, subject to fulfilling eligibility conditions before the prescribed cut-off date.

MDL Apprentice Stipend 2026
Selected apprentices will receive a monthly stipend as prescribed under the Apprentices Act, 1961.

The selection process consists of the following stages:
Stage 1: Computer Based Test (CBT)

Stage 4: Police Verification
A valid Police Verification Report will be required before joining.
