Manoj Kumar Agarwal, Chairman-cum-Managing Director (CMD) of Bharat Coking Coal Limited, addressed members of the Miners Engineers Association of India during a programme held in Ahmedabad on Monday. The BCCL chief shared his vision for the future of the Indian mining sector, emphasizing sustainable mining practices, technological advancement, safety, productivity enhancement, and the role of innovation in meeting the country’s growing energy requirements.
Speaking before mining professionals, engineers, industry experts and stakeholders, Agarwal underlined the importance of adopting modern technologies, digital interventions and environmentally responsible mining practices to ensure long-term growth of the coal sector. He stressed that coal would continue to play a critical role in India’s energy security while the industry simultaneously advances towards greater sustainability and operational efficiency.
