IndianOil Reaffirms Its Commitment to Fuel Quality

IndianOil said it follows a zero-tolerance policy towards adulteration, contamination or any compromise in prescribed fuel quality norms

Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IndianOil) has reiterated its unwavering commitment to maintaining the highest standards of fuel quality across its nationwide network of retail outlets, amid concerns being circulated on social media.

In an official statement issued on Tuesday, the country’s largest fuel retailer emphasized that ensuring the quality of petrol and diesel supplied through its retail outlets remains one of the Corporation’s highest priorities.

IndianOil said its robust quality assurance system includes regular inspections, surprise checks and scientific testing to ensure that customers receive fuel meeting all prescribed statutory and industry standards.

The Corporation revealed that during the past week alone, it carried out nearly 10,000 surprise inspections across its retail outlets, conducted more than 8,500 quality tests, and deployed hundreds of special inspection teams to independently verify compliance with quality standards.

Reiterating its strict stance against fuel quality violations, IndianOil said it follows a zero-tolerance policy towards adulteration, contamination or any compromise in prescribed fuel quality norms.

According to the company, if any instance of adulteration, contamination or violation is detected during inspections or established through customer complaints, stringent action is initiated against the concerned dealer in accordance with applicable guidelines and contractual provisions.

IndianOil also appealed to customers to report any concerns regarding fuel quality directly at the retail outlet or through its official customer care channels instead of relying on unverified social media posts.

The Corporation assured consumers that every complaint is investigated promptly through a transparent and well-defined mechanism.

Reaffirming its commitment to customer trust, IndianOil stated that it will continue delivering high-quality fuels that fully comply with all statutory and industry specifications while serving millions of customers across the country every day.
