When high hopes dash and dreams are shattered, one naturally would go into a cave!
There was a time when one PSU executive was everywhere — socially, politically and, of course, in the mainstream media — building a narrative that he was the obvious frontrunner for a plum post.
But when the real selection process arrived, the much-hyped contender failed to make the cut.
And since then?
Silence. Complete silence.
His friends say the executive has turned into “Mauni Baba” – glum, withdrawn and apparently with nothing much left to say.
Perhaps the chair he wanted took away his voice!
