Dr. Prasanna Kumar Acharya Takes Charge as CMD of NLCIL

Dr. Prasanna Kumar Acharya has assumed charge as Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of NLC India Limited (NLCIL), bringing more than 28 years of experience across Central and State government organisations and private-sector entities.
A seasoned professional with wide-ranging experience, Dr. Acharya has worked across the power generation, transmission, distribution, mining and transport sectors, with expertise spanning accounts, taxation, project finance, fund raising and automation.
Dr. Acharya is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India and an Associate Member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India.
He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) from Utkal University, Odisha; an LLB from MS Law College, Cuttack; a Master of Commerce from Ravenshaw University, Odisha; and a Master of Business Administration (MBA).
His professional experience also includes system improvement, digitisation, empowerment and collaboration initiatives, giving him exposure to both financial and operational aspects of large organisations.
With a career spanning diverse sectors and organisational environments, Dr. Acharya now takes charge of NLCIL, one of India’s major public-sector enterprises in the mining and power space.
