CCL Organises Capacity Building Programme on New GeM Features and Functionalities
Participants were apprised of the latest provisions and developments on GeM and gained practical insights aimed at improving efficiency in procurement-related tasks
A capacity building programme on “GeM – New Features and Functionalities” was organised under the aegis of the Vigilance Department of Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) to enhance efficiency and transparency in procurement-related operations.
The programme focused on familiarising participants with the latest features, processes and functionalities of the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) and strengthening their understanding of the evolving procurement framework.
The event was attended by Director (Technical/Planning & Projects) Anoop Hanjura, Chief Vigilance Officer Pankaj Kumar, General Manager (MM) Raj Kishore and General Manager (HRD) M.F. Haque.
Suraj Sharma, Director and Nodal Officer, GeM, Delhi, along with the GeM team in Jharkhand, provided participants with a detailed overview of the latest features and functionalities of the GeM portal.
The session also highlighted the importance of conducting procurement processes in an effective, transparent and competitive manner, while ensuring procurement at the best available price (L1) without compromising prescribed quality standards.
A total of 74 participants attended the programme. Through interactive sessions, participants were apprised of the latest provisions and developments on GeM and gained practical insights aimed at improving efficiency in procurement-related tasks.
The capacity building programme marked an initiative towards further strengthening transparent, efficient and effective procurement practices at CCL.
