The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) has seized approximately 50 tonnes of illegally stored coal during a major crackdown in the Parej Opencast Project area under Central Coalfields Limited (CCL)’s Hazaribagh Coalfield in Jharkhand.

The action was carried out on Tuesday evening at Duru Kasmar Basti, under the jurisdiction of Ghatotand Outpost in Ramgarh district. The operation was led by Deputy Commandant Dinesh Kumar of CISF’s CCL NK-Piparwar unit.

According to officials, the CISF team received information about the illegal stockpiling of coal in Duru Kasmar village, located near CCL mining operations. Acting on the intelligence, the team conducted an inspection and discovered approximately 50 tonnes of coal allegedly stored illegally.

Following the seizure, the CISF informed Kalyan Prasad, General Manager of CCL’s Hazaribagh Coalfield at Charhi. Subsequently, the General Manager and Parej Project Officer Sanjay Kumar Singh coordinated with the CISF team and assessed the situation.

CCL management has initiated preparations to lift the recovered coal and transport it to a secure location. Arrangements are being made for deploying heavy vehicles (Hyvas) and a JCB machine to facilitate the operation.
