Filmmaker Boney Kapoor Meets Uttarakhand CM Dhami

Both hold discussions about shooting of more films in the hill state

Noted filmmaker Mr. Boney Kapoor called on Chief Minister Mr. Pushkar Singh Dhami late in the evening of Sunday. He told that nowadays the film ‘Mili’ is being shot by him in various locations spread over Dehradun, Haridwar, Mussoorie. He described the natural beauty of Uttarakhand as conducive to filming. The lead role in the film is being played by Janhvi Kapoor, the daughter of Boney Kapoor and Late actress Sridevi.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that we have the best shooting destinations in the world including Nainital, Mussoorie, Auli, Chakrata, Munsiyari, Chopta, Harshil, Pauri and Dhanaulti. In Uttarakhand, filmmakers are being given full support for shooting films and for this, policies have been made for friendly for producers from Bollywood. The Chief Minister also requested Mr. Kapoor to suggest ways to encourage film shooting in the state. The Chief Minister said that according to the suggestions received from the filmmakers, amendments would soon be made in the film policy of the state.

Director General Information Shri Ranveer Singh Chauhan was also present on the occasion.
